Sales Territory Coverage Planner

Compare target-account load with rep capacity by region and segment. Find uncovered accounts and where capacity sits unused.

Define non-overlapping territories

Add a row per region and segment. Count each target account once and use capacity per rep for the same period, such as a quarter. Assign each rep once or partition their account capacity explicitly; do not double-count shared reps across rows.

How coverage is calculated

Available capacity = assigned reps × accounts per rep. Covered accounts are capped at target accounts. Required reps = accounts ÷ per-rep capacity, rounded up. Spare capacity in one territory is shown but is not automatically applied to another territory.

Balance more than account counts

A hundred enterprise accounts can require more effort than a hundred small businesses. Set per-rep capacity to reflect segment complexity, travel, buying committees, and service levels. This is a coverage worksheet, not geographic optimization or automated CRM assignment.
